Hello and welcome to a brand new issue of Word of Mouth – the Oral Health Foundation’s digital magazine.

First of all, we hope from all members of the Oral Health Foundation that you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and in a good mood during an extremely difficult time.

After two and a half months of closure, dental practices in England received the green light to reopen on June 8th. This is undoubtedly good news and a relief to many of us as patients. Dental offices have worked hard to make the changes necessary to make our visits as safe and enjoyable as possible.

It’s not entirely normal. The number of treatments offered may be limited and the number of patients seen will be reduced. In this edition we have summarized some of the most important changes so that you know what to expect the next time you visit the dentist.

In June we also fought as part of National Smile Month. We have continued to reach out to vulnerable groups and individuals to help them with their oral health. We have safely done this with digital resources and online toolkits. Our dental helpline has also received an amazing number of calls from people seeking advice and security.

Have fun with this edition of Word of Mouth and thank you again for your continued support.
